1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your email address and encrypted password when you create an account.
- Subscription data: The subscriptions, prices, billing cycles, and renewal dates you enter into the app.
- Profile data: Your name and optional demographic information you provide in Profile settings.
- Location data: Your approximate location, used only to show nearby deals. We do not store your location.
- Usage data: Anonymous app usage statistics to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the DoodleSave service:
- To display your subscriptions, spending summaries, and renewal alerts.
- To generate AI-powered financial tips and discount recommendations.
- To show nearby deals based on your current location (not stored).
- To send push notifications about upcoming renewals and trial endings.
- To improve app features and fix bugs.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database provider. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure you can only access your own data — no other user can view your subscriptions.
4. AI Features
DoodleSave uses the Anthropic Claude AI to generate financial tips, discount suggestions, and cancel scripts. When you use these features, your subscription list is sent to our secure server which forwards it to Anthropic's API.
We do not store AI prompts or responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
5. Location Data
When you use the Nearby Deals feature, we request access to your device's location. Your coordinates are sent to our secure proxy server to fetch nearby places from Google Places API.
We do not store, log, or share your location. Location access can be revoked at any time in your iPhone Settings → DoodleSave → Location.
6. Third-Party Services
DoodleSave uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Anthropic — AI features (anthropic.com/privacy)
- Google Places API — nearby location search (policies.google.com/privacy)
- Stripe — payment processing for advertisers (stripe.com/privacy)
- Apple Push Notification Service — renewal reminders
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
We may share anonymised, aggregated data (not linked to any individual) to understand how the app is used.
8. Advertising
DoodleSave's marketplace allows businesses to post deals. Advertisers see only aggregate impressions — they cannot see individual user data or identify who viewed their listing.
Payments from advertisers are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
Subscription data you delete within the app is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Export your subscription data.
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time.

11. Children's Privacy
DoodleSave is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a push notification or an in-app alert. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
